I am Dr. Amal Omar Al-Hamed, a psychologist working in the field of mental health with a holistic and integrative perspective that stems from science while considering the person as a whole.
In my professional experience, I have found that psychological suffering cannot be separated from personal history, nor does healing begin solely with the symptoms. True healing starts with a deep understanding of the roots and reconnecting with the self, which has been exhausted by stress, fear, and unresolved experiences.
Writing, for me, is an extension of therapy—a shared space of awareness.

Mental health is not a battle between schools of thought, nor a conflict between mind and spirit.
It is a state of balance, a meeting point, and an integrated practice that places the human being at the center.
I believe in psychotherapy based on scientific foundations, and in the importance of the spiritual dimension when it supports inner balance—not as a substitute for professional expertise, nor as a means to ignore or deny psychological pain.
The approach I follow sees the human being as an interconnected whole, not as separate parts.
I believe true healing begins by deeply understanding personal stories, emotions, and experiences without judgment.
My work is grounded in evidence-based psychology while remaining open to holistic, integrative therapeutic perspectives.
Every individual is treated with empathy, respect, and personalized attention throughout their healing journey.
